What to do in Atlanta this September!

Are you a local Atlantean trying to plan out your weekend with things to do? Or maybe you’re planning a weekend vacation to the bustling city of Atlanta and want to make an itinerary? Whatever the reason for you deciding to see what this beautiful city has to offer is, I have gathered a variety of entertainment, festivals, and places-to-be, happening in the month of September in Atlanta.

Festivals
For all you festival lovers, you’re in luck! Gorgeous September weather pairs so nicely with festivals that you’ll want to attend them all!
Starting off strong is the Night Market on September 8, 2022! Located at The Home Depot Backyard, enjoy arts and crafts, all locally-made, with food, cocktails and live music.
The Yellow Daisy Festival is next, taking place September 8-9, 2022 at Stone Mountain Park. 300+ artists and vendors are expected, and of course, yellow daisies.
The Atlanta Musical Festival will be held September 9-11, 2022 at the Jennei T. Anderson Theatre in Marietta. I can’t think of a better way to get a sneak peek at several new musicals!
All you grilled cheese gurus, I have the festival for you. The Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival will be on September 10, 2022, at Pratt Pullman Yards in Atlanta. Prepare yourselves, and your stomachs, for samples of grilled cheeses from restaurants from all over Atlanta. Live music and games will also be there for those lactose intolerant folks whos’ families dragged them there.
The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is a whopping six-day-long, annual food festival celebrating all things food and drink, in the South. The event spans from September 13-18,2022, with locations all throughout Midtown Atlanta. Be sure to stop by!
Buckhead Fine Arts Festival is September 17-18, 2022, taking place in Buckhead. Come see a variety of artist demonstrations, live music and more!
To wrap-up the festivals is the Pumpkin Festival! Located at Stone Mountain Park, engulf yourself in the perfect-pumpkin atmosphere, with a fall-themed outdoor light display, pumpkin laser show and after-dark parade. Get your pumpkin on anytime between September 17-October 30, 2022.
Family-Friendly
PAW Patrol live! The Great Pirate Adventure at the Fox Theatre, is a fun idea outing for the whole family! Grab your kids and go see this performance September 10-11, 2022!
Ever had an opportunity to watch a puppet show live? Well now you do! Take your family to see The Tortoise, the Hare & other Aesop’s Fables, playing at the Center of Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, August 10- September 18, 2022!
Do not fear, Disney is here! Well, Disney on Ice that is. Disney loving children are going to love Disney on Ice Presents Frozen and Encanto! Playing at the State Farm Arena, September 21-25, 2022.

Sports
If you haven’t made it to a Braves game yet this season, you still have a chance! See them battle it out against the Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals, and the New York Mets at Truist Park throughout the month of September!
Not into baseball? No worries, catch an Atlanta United FC game at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. September 10, 2022 against Toronto FC and September 17, 2022 against Philadelphia Union!
Not Family-Friendly
Sorry kids, you have to stay home for these events. Laugh until you cry at these comedy shows happing in Atlanta in September!
